Retro Chic Denim on Denim!

   Retro Fashion has always been one of my favourite trends and it's making a huge comeback this season. In fact today's look has the perfect retro chic inspiration behind it. I had earlier styled another retro look on the blog here.
   I went in for the popular Denim on Denim look with a retro twist. I paired this sleeveless chambray knotted up top with white lace detailing on the pockets with these polka dotted skinny jeans, both from ONLY, showing just a sliver of skin on the waist. The knotted -up tops & shirts give such a retro pin-up girl vibe and it's a fabulous trend that is making a major comeback now, it has an effortless retro chic vibe to it. Knotted shirts give a very summery effect. It looks chic, it’s casual and it’s oh so comfortable for summer.
  These light blue washed out skinny jeans are also so retro with their white polka-dot print, I must say they are one of the most figure flattering jeans I have ever tried. Polka dots are a fun print that adds whimsy to any ensemble and these skinny jeans are a must have wardrobe staple for me this season.    
   Keeping with the retro feel of the look I accessorized the look with a blue polka dot headband, big crystal studded hoop earrings, pentagon shaped sunnies, some chic midi rings, my double finger 'love' ring, a gold chain with a cute lip pendant and a big gold dotted cut-work cuff bracelet. 
  Adding a touch of the retro disco era to the look I carried a silver sequin clutch and wore silver glitter heels.
  I went for bold red lips, winged eyeliner, a bouffant and soft foxy curls finish off my retro look to the T.
  The touch of silver glitter adds an edge to the retro denim on denim look.
 This retro denim on denim look is so effortlessly sexy and comfy at the same time, it's both casual with an edge and glamorous in it's own way when I dressed it up with the silver & gold accessories and bold red lips. It's surely one of my favourite looks this summer.
