I recently attended a fabulous event by LIVA called the #UnBoxWithLiva event. LIVA is a New Age fabric brand that represents 'Natural Fluid Fashion.’ It is comfortable, soft, 100% natural, and eco-friendly (made from wood pulp and helps conserves water) and is a part of ‘Aditya Birla’ group. LIVA is a natural, fluid, and fashionable fabric which infuses fluidity into the garment.
There was an interesting theme to the #UnboxWithLiva event, it was all about not being boxed in synthetic fabrics and given our fast paced lifestyles, we need clothing and fabrics that don't box us in, but instead lets us feel free.
The event was well represented by fashion & entertainment industry including few prominent fashion bloggers, RJ Archana, fashion choreographer Shy Kalra and the LIVA team . The event was hosted by the effervescent Freishia Bomanbehram.
All of the attendees were supposed to come dressed up in LIVA. I searched high & low at Pantaloons for the most perfect LIVA outfit for the event. Finally I set my heart on this beautiful full-sleeve red tunic with a super trendy colourful digital print, with an interesting slit from the waist downwards through the center. I paired the red tunic with a pair of black Palazzo pants. I absolutely loved the vibrant print of the tunic with a cool slogan 'Dewaa' on the back and it's flowy silhouette.
This was the first time I had tried on a LIVA garment and I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable and light-weight it was, Inspite of it being full-sleeved and knowing how terribly hot and humid Mumbai weather is currently, the fabric felt absolutely light and comfortable. The fabric drapes the body so effortlessly and wasn’t too boxy or tight. I loved the fact that the outfit was not only so chic and fashionable but ranked so high on the comfort factor. I also particularly loved the versatility of this LIVA tunic, as I could wear it even as an Indo-western ensemble for the festive season like Diwali parties as well as for western casual wear over a pair of denim shorts or a shorts.
At the event I also had a chance to interact with members of the LIVA team and gain valuable insights into their interpretation & vision for LIVA and also had a chance to check out their latest collection & designs. I loved the variety of vibrant colours, prints, silhouettes and super chic styles.
I was also invited to speak at the event as a celebrity blogger on what UnBoxing means to me and how I felt wearing the LIVA garment for the first time, I personally lead a very hectic lifestyle , but also as a blogger a major part of my job entails being confined to a room working on my laptop in isolation, so I truly identified with the concept of UnBoxing with LIVA. As it truly liberating to be dressed up to the nines in a fabric that is also so comfortable and light-weight.
There was also a fun photo booth where I got some fun pictures clicked with the LIVA hashtag placards.
All in all it was a super fun event and here is a picture of all the wonderful fashion bloggers together dressed up in LIVA garments.
Personally, I feel LIVA is going to play a very important role in the world of fashion and represents a real fashion revolution with it's soft and breathable fabric.
LIVA garments retail at AND, Global Desi, 109°F, Chemistry, Lifestyle, Pantaloons, Desi Belle at Central, Allen Solly and Van Heusen to name a few, but you have to specifically ask them for garments with the LIVA fabric. LIVA garments have a separate pink ‘LIVA’ tag on them.
So are you ready to say 'Bye Bye Boxiness. Hello Freedom!'
