This Spring Expect a range of retro influences on trends this season. Two of my favorites are the the Tea length Skirt paired with a Crop Top. There is something so girl strolling the streets of Paris joie de vivre about it, non?
Tea Length Skirt Trend - Tea length skirts have been with us for a long time, but they haven't looked this fresh since Grace Kelly wore them gliding across the silver screen back in the '50s
Keep it classy this season with the new tea-length skirt trend. This classic trend is known as the merge between the midi, and the maxi.. Full-skirted, tea-length skirts – also called midis — were all the rage on the spring runways this season, with Alice + Olivia, Proenza Schouler, Christian Dior, Tracy Reese, Rebecca Minkoff and others all sending models down their runways with a chic retro feel. Ladylike, lovely and oh-so-flattering? It’s time to channel your inner princess with the Tea length skirt.
Crop tops paired with tea length skirts are very in for spring. Tea length skirts are pretty and free moving and the high waisted ones, like the one I have worn are a perfect balance for crop tops!
Today my retro trends inspired look combines this cobalt blue crop top with shoulder cut-aways, with this pretty pink pleated tea length skirt. The soft pink pastel skirt is a gorgeous pastel for spring that allows the lightweight fabric to flow in the soft breeze.
Cut-away shoulder tops: Akin to the time-tested halter, this slimming cut is all the rage for tanks this season.
Keeping the retro vibe going, I wore these pentagon shaped sunglasses too. My accessories were in candy colors with this multi-stone statement necklace, blue earrings, a pink perspex pyramid cuff bracelet, blue retro square ring and a multi-stone ring.
I carried this pink bow box bag and wore my cobalt blue peep toes. I enjoyed playing around with this vintage camera for this shoot too. I sported my side braid, my favourite hairstyle this spring. This look made for a feminine and fun retro feel.
